What: Advanced Project WILD About Elk Treat yourself to a day of experiential learning indoors and outdoors at Valles Caldera National Preserve. · All activities will demonstrate practical methods of integrating New Mexico Content Standards and Benchmarks in science, math and language arts into the classroom. · Instructors from the Dept of Game and Fish will lead you through engaging and inquiry-based learning adventures centered on Rocky Mountain Elk and their habitat! · Project WILD is a supplementary wildlife education program for K-12 educators that has been shown to improve test scores. Receive: Project WILD Activity Guide K-12 and WILD About Elk Guide, plus other valuable educational resources When: September 20, 2008, 8:30 am-3:30 pm Where: Valles Caldera National Preserve, near Los Alamos, NM--Contact Kevin Holladay for specific location.
