Wildlife Notes - Information on New Mexico Wildlife SpeciesShort Description: GET THE LATEST ON YOUR FAVORITE WILDLIFE SPECIES
The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish would like to make you aware of a series of free Wildlife Notes that can be helpful in your efforts to educate about biology and the environment. These one page accounts cover the natural history of New Mexico birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians, fish and even insects and other invertebrates. There are Wildlife Notes on endangered species as well as on game animals. Each note is illustrated.
These are written by professional biologists but at a level that is accessible to the layman interested in nature and conservation. Teachers will be able to find information appropriate to all grade levels.
You are welcome to download these, copy and distribute as you please. Twenty-one Wildlife Notes have just been updated or created, ranging in species from the endangered Texas hornshell mussel to the black bear, New Mexico's state animal.
