GCECOrganization Info: Silver City, New Mexico 88061 Phone: 505-388-8265 Website: http://gcecnm.org/index.shtml Mission Statement: The Gila Conservation Education Center (GCEC) is a non-profit organization based in Silver City, New Mexico, dedicated to facilitating partnerships between conservation groups, schools, and local citizens to create a community that understands, appreciates, and participates in natural resource conservation in the area in and around the Gila National Forest and Southwest New Mexico. We are supported by Silver and Cobre Consolidated Schools, the USDA Forest Service, project grants, small donations, and the hard work of many other agencies, groups, schools, and individuals that believe conservation education today is the first step toward ensuring that our ecosystem will remain healthy for our grandchildren.
